Still have not tried it yet but if I work like it say it does I would be more then happy to use it

Shows duplicate wifi points and also crashes at times.

Unable to find WIFI sources even sitting next to one that I am connected to!!!!

Loved this app, even though I couldnt save my searches as advertised. But now it wont even pick up a wi-fi signal I am sitting beside. Im sure its just a 4.0 glitch. I will wait for the update before I decide to dump it. I really liked the overall scanning functionality, before it stopped working. I recommend downloading it to your iTunes anyway. Then when the update comes through, upload it to your device.

No longer works with OS 4. Taking a long time for an update. Have removed from iphone

Information for hotspots are way out of date.

Too confusing!! Get a better look and make it atleast more easier to do stuff I guarantee my mom couldnt even figure that out and she is a wiz with technology!

Whats the point having a wifi finder when you need a wifi spot to get it to work? Scratching my head.

Many hotspot finders only show starbucks and mcdonalds, but miss these independent local venues. It is not hard to spot a McDonald. This one is doing a better job to track these local ones.

What happend to the local wifi scanner thats the only way I could connect to our week wifi thats two buildings done now i cant why??????

Well... this app is great when you are connected to the net. The insturction says that you can save the map of places with web access if you could not get signal. Well that was false, I got a notice that I needed to connect to a signal to look at the saved map. Needs to correct this slight problem.

Not worth it, even if it is free. Does not have the MacDonalds that has wifi a block away.

I just spent a month in Shanghai and Tokyo. This app worked well there. It shows many free locations in the area I searched. I was able to connect and surf couple times in both cities. I also tried other wifi finder apps. They can only show hotspots in hotels with paid services. Well, It is not hard to know that every hotel will have wifi, and you need to pay for it. I think because this app allows people to submit wifi points, many local locations are added by local people. that is a good thing for a visitor, like me. I dont have the Plus version, so I did plan ahead. I set the search radius to 20 miles to search, and saved results to offline, so I can use them when I was offline. I would recommend it if you travel oversea.

This app went from an incredibly useful, device-capabilty-enhancing program to an absolute piece of junk in only one upgrade. It WAS a Wifi signal detector that showed all the active signals around me and allowed me to join many that the iPod standard detector could not find. Typically, the app showed a dozen or so while the iPod native detector would show one or two. I was able to get online where I never could before. This capability disappeared with the last update, rendering the app complete garbage. Who is responsible? At one point there were several free wifi scanners available in the app store. Now I find none at any price. Is this a new censorship by Apple? By someone else? Clearly, I could sign on in many more places before than I can with the iPod locator.
